The Iron County Youth Market Livestock Program proudly invites you to attend the 2025 Youth Market Livestock Auction on Friday, August 8, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the rotunda at the Iron County Fairgrounds in Iron River, Michigan.

We deeply appreciate the support of past buyers and welcome new participants to experience this rewarding opportunity. Whether you're a returning buyer or considering your first purchase, we encourage you to take part and enjoy the exceptional quality meats offered through this program.

Why Buy at the Auction?

Each animal has been raised and cared for by local youth, who have worked diligently to ensure high standards of animal welfare and nutrition. The animals are farm-checked by the Youth Market Livestock Council to guarantee their condition.

You may purchase livestock for:

● Business or personal consumption

● Charitable donation (processed meat can be donated to a charity of your choice)

Note: All purchased animals will remain under the youth exhibitors’ care until the close of the fair, at which time they will be transported to your selected processor. Buyers are responsible for processing costs.

Buyer’s Instructions:

 

• Register at the bidder registration table between 5 and 6 p.m.

•  Pick your processor.

 

 

After your purchase:

● Pay for your animal in the upper level of the rotunda.

● Fill out a cutting instruction slip at the auction.

● Coordinate with your chosen processor.

● Be sure to complete cutting instructions and notify your processor by Monday, August 11th.

● Processing costs and pickup arrangements are the buyer’s responsibility.

Buyer Meet & Greet

Join us for a Meet & Greet at the pavilion next to the rotunda on Friday, August 8, at 5:00 p.m., before the auction.Light refreshments will be served.Bidder registration will be available at the Livestock Council table in the rotunda.
